Here is an album of some of the released photos taken from their camera (some from the initial part of their hike, some towards the end of their lives). They also prove that at least one of the girls survived for several weeks after they went missing.Ī couple bone fragments and personal belongings were eventually found, but what exactly happened to them remains unknown. Rescue workers discovered their camera, which contained +100 photos taken by them during their trek, which offered some clues as to what happened The time dates of the photos indicate some were taken before an incident, and some were taken after the incident. The Daily Beast did an interesting 3-part investigative write-up on 2 Dutch women - Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froom - who went on a hike together on what is only supposed to be a 3 mile loop in Panama. It is rare to have photographic evidence of these cases, and rarer still to have photos taken by the missing people themselves taken during whatever caused their disappearance. ![]() ![]() ![]() Missing people cases fascinate me and keep me up at night.
